Capital & Endowment

Capital Funds are resources restricted to a specific purpose above and beyond the general operation of the school (see Annual Fund). From time to time GA will engage in an fundraising effort, or Capital Campaign, to raise substantial funds to finance major needs such as construction, renovations, purchase new programmatic equipment and required supplies or increase endowment funding.

Endowment Funds are monies invested long term, overseen directly by the Investment Committee of our Board of Trustees, which earn spendable interest and are applied to key budget items each year - such as student financial aid, programs, and the maintenance and management of our 126 acres of school property.

Capital Gift Opportunities and Campaigns

Our faculty, staff and coaches are committed to providing GA students the best educational experience possible. Often there are needs that are not met by the school's annual operating budget and extra funds are raised (capital gifts) in order to purchase these items. Donors who choose to make capital gifts can direct their support toward a specific purpose that matches their personal interests with the needs and priorities of the school. Click below to see some of the items our faculty, staff and coaches have declared as a need for their program. Thanks in advance for choosing to give in this way!

Bill Piszek '77 (dec.) and Helen Piszek Nelson '70 (dec.) believed strongly in the value of a GA education.  Both alums, and also parents of alumni children, the Piszek’s carried on a very special family tradition of support, originating with their legendary Trustee father Edward Piszek 1760.  As a dedicated GA family, they all cherished the ability to help provide the GA experience for a student whose family would otherwise be unable to afford it.  The Edward and Olga Piszek Scholarship Fund was established to honor that proud family legacy in perpetuity.
